"...The rest of the cast is no less talented; if the 2001 production had concentrated on showing the hidden humanly motives of Shakespeare’s more under-explained characters with Tybalt’s “C’est pas ma faute” and Lord Capulet’s “Avoir une fille,” it seems that the new cast is intent upon revealing, in turn, the humanly flaws. William St-Val beautifully portrays Tybalt as a confused child within his pretense of grandiosity, and Ida Gordon is simply adorable as Juliette’s nurse, devoted yet comically vain. In his third visit to Korea, Cyril Niccolaï replants his stage personality of the free-spirited yet hopelessly lost poet Gringoire in Notre-Dame de Paris to Roméo’s oft kicked-around cousin Benvolio, true friend and the real “fortune’s fool” of the show. Joël O’Cangha is quite an energetic Frère Laurent in his sleek priestly robes, and transforms the otherwise insipid role into one victimized by an oddly amiable vanity. The “parents” are almost relatively weak—Arié Itah seemed like a strange choice for Lord Capulet, and Stéphanie Rodrigue and Brigitte Venditti as the two mistresses suffer from a reduction of roles—yet their renditions of “Grosse” and “La haine” are nonetheless addictive. In the role of the Prince of Vérone, Stéphane Métro sports his well-placed icy charisma to the fullest extent, although one does wish the Prince would show a little more emotion at Mercutio’s death; after all, it’s his nephew in the musical, not just any kinsman. Christine Hassid as La Mort, or Death, is considerably less sinister—and less Romeo-baiting—than in the 2001 production, a detached, mute being who is all the more menacing. Indeed, one of the best additions to this new production is Death’s marionette dance leading the dancers out of the Capulet ball; Death’s complete and incessant influence on the lives of Vérone could not have been made clearer."

Après Notre Dame de Paris et Les Dix Commandements, c'est au tour de Roméo et Juliette de partir à la conquête de la Corée à partir du 20 janvier.
De la troupe originale, on y retrouvera Damien Sargue dans le rôle de Roméo et Arié Itah (à l'époque doublure de Frère Laurent et du Prince de Vérone) dans le rôle de Lord Capulet.
Juliette sera interprétée par Joy Esther (Belles, Belles, Belles), Benvolio sera interprété par Cyril Niccolai (Notre Dame de Paris, Autant en Emporte le Vent), John Eyzen (Star Academy 4) sera Mercutio, William Saint-Val (Freedom et qui a récemment été sollicité par les producteurs du Roi Lion pour incarner Simba) sera Tybalt, Stéphanie Rodrigue jouera le rôle de Lady Capulet, Brigitte Venditti (Freedom) jouera le rôle de Lady Montaigu, Stéphane Métro (Chance, Jesus Christ Superstar) sera le Prince de Vérone, Ida Gordon (Un Violon Sur Le Toit, Chance) sera la Nourrice et Joël O'Cangha (Porgy and Bess, The Lion King à Hambourg, Autant en Emporte le Vent) sera le Frère Laurent.
Tout ce petit monde s'est envolé pour Séoul à la mi-décembre sous la houlette de Redha qui revient mettre en scène le spectacle en compagnie notamment de Christine Hassid, qui interprète le rôle de la Mort et qui a participé à toutes les productions européennes du spectacle depuis sa création à Paris en 2001.
